BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors is comprised of fifteen members - eight appointed by the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors and seven appointed by the Council of the City of Danville, Virginia. In accordance with the Code of Virginia, a Board Member is appointed to a three-year term and may serve three successive three-year terms.

WILLIAM "SID" ALLGOOD

Mr. Allgood was appointed to the Board in 2017 to represent the Dan River District. He is the owner of Raven Hollow Corporation.






Gayle Hunt Breakley

The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors appointed Mrs. Breakley in August 2022 to represent the Westover District.  She is Associate Minister at New Mine Creek Church and serves on several community boards.  She is a retired administrator with Danville Public Schools and a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®

Arlene Burkhardt

Arlene “Tinker” Burkhardt was appointed in December 2021 by the Board of Supervisors to represent the Staunton River District.  She is the President/Owner of Burkhardt’s Nursery & Siteworks, Inc. in Hurt.  She serves as secretary of the Pittsylvania County Electoral Board and is the treasurer of the Pittsylvania County Republican Committee.  


Geary Davis

Mr. Davis was appointed to the Board by Danville City Council in December 2020. He is Senior Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones in South Boston.











Lorrie Eanes

Ms. Eanes was appointed to the Board in 2017 by the Board of Supervisors. She is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and serves on the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Virginia Chapter Board as the Secretary, and Vice President of Women United.  She is a member of the SEAS Coalition and RASAP. 



Carolyn B. Evans

Danville City Council appointed Ms. Evans to the Board in August 2021. She is retired from the City of Danville Utilities Department.

willie fitzgerald

Mr. Fitzgerald was appointed to the Board by the Board of Supervisors in March 2022.  He is an Army veteran with time served in Vietnam.  He was President of the Pittsylvania County NAACP for 25 years, and he worked at and retired from Ennis Business Forms as a Supervisor after 44 years on the job.

Reverend Rufus Fuller III

Danville City Council appointed Reverend Fuller to the Board in 2016. He is Pastor of East New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Shelby J. Irving 

Danville City Council appointed Ms. Irving to the Board in 2012.  She is Fire Marshal and Battalion Chief of Investigations, Public Education and Plan Reviews with the Danville Fire Department.

The Honorable Michael S. Mondul

Danville City Council appointed Mr. Mondul to the Board in 2016. He is Sheriff of the City of Danville.

Pamela saunders

Ms.  Saunders was appointed to the Board by City Council in July 2023.  She is the Coordinator of Public Health & Wellness for Danville Public Schools.

Deborah H. Stowe

The Board of Supervisors appointed Ms. Stowe to the Board in July 2021 as representative for the Tunstall District. Ms. Stowe is retired from Pittsylvania County Schools where she last served as Principal of Tunstall Middle School.

Kimberly G. Van Der Hyde 

The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors appointed Mrs. Van Der Hyde to the Board in 2016 as representative for the Callands-Gretna District. She is Director of Finance for Pittsylvania County.


Adrian Watlington

Ms. Watlington was appointed to the Board in July 2022 by City Council.  She is a nurse/nurse consultant and has worked as an administrator in an assisted living facility over the past 30 years.  She is also a member of the Medical Reserve Corps.

Ricky J. (R.J.) Weaver, Jr.

The Board of Supervisors appointed Mr. Weaver to the Board as a member-at-large as of August 2020.  Mr. Weaver is a Vice President at First National Bank in Danville.

James F. Bebeau, LPC
Executive Director

Jim Bebeau, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), was appointed by the Board of Directors to serve as their Executive Director in January 2010. He has extensive experience in behavioral healthcare and has worked in various capacities at Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services since 1994. Mr. Bebeau has a strong commitment to the community, serving in various volunteer capacities since 1992. He is a Life Member of the Danville Life Saving Crew, having served as an Advanced Life Support provider and more recently as a Board Member and Vice President. Mr. Bebeau is a member of the Danville Riverview Rotary Club and was the 2008/2009 Club President. He serves on the Board of Directors of Smart Beginnings Danville-Pittsylvania (now The Center for Early Success), the Danville Area Training Center, the Virginia Association of Community Services Boards, having served as Treasurer and as a Vice-Chair, and the Danville Regional Foundation. Mr. Bebeau has also served on the Board of Directors of the Danville Science Center, Sacred Heart School, Dan River Business Development Center and the Boards of Directors for the Community Policy & Management Teams in both Danville & Pittsylvania County.
