Welcome to the Substance Abuse
Services Division
|
|
The
mission of Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services' Substance Abuse
Services Division is to establish and maintain an ongoing comprehensive
system of services for substance abusers; their significant others;
and those at risk for substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, and other infectious
diseases. These services include, but are not limited to,
Outpatient, Corrections, Schools, Community Outreach, and referrals
to contractual organizations for emergency services, detoxification,
and residential programs. Substance abuse is a critical
problem with serious implications for the cognitive, physical,
social, mental, and economic health of Danville and Pittsylvania
County. Substance abuse occurs in varying degrees and requires
a variety of levels of intensity, intervention, and treatment.
Those who suffer directly or indirectly from substance abuse are
entitled to the same attention afforded to those suffering from
other serious diseases.
The
Substance Abuse Services Division offers the services listed below.
