Position Number: 4278

Responsibilities: Evaluates consumers to determine mental status and need for services in Residential Crisis Stabilization; serves as lead clinician of the Residential Crisis Stabilization treatment team; conducts fact-to-face psychiatric evaluation within 24 hours of a resident’s admission to RCS; evaluates consumer’s need for medication and prescribe to treat symptoms; confers with consumer’s primary psychiatrist; reviews resident’s progress toward stabilization; attends staff meetings as required; prepares formal written or electronic entry in consumer records.

Requirements: Doctor of Medicine from an accredited medical school required. Virginia Medical License, or licensed within six months of hire date, required. Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry preferred. Fingerprinting, FBI and State criminal record checks, drug testing, and CANIS report will be required upon request.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: Hourly contract.
