Responsibilities: Provides coverage on an as needed basis for the following shifts: day shift (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), evening shift (4:00 p.m. to 12 midnight), night shift (12 midnight to 8:30 a.m.), weekends (12 hour shifts), and holidays. Responsibilities are to provide face-to-face and phone emergency counseling; consultation/ education to the community.

Requirements: Master’s Degree in Human Services (with license preferred), or a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia with 36 months experience working in mental health. Outpatient or inpatient clinical mental health experience required with documented crisis intervention experience within the past five years. Ability to be certified as a preadmission screener and crisis intervention provider by attending DMHMRSAS developed training. Individuals with a Bachelor’s Degree and previously “grand fathered” by an Executive Director of a Virginia CSB to obtain their certification as a preadmission screening evaluator are exempt from the Master’s degree requirement. Fingerprinting, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug testing and CANIS Report will be required upon request.

Residence Requirement: Must be located within a 30 mile radius of Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services, 245 Hairston Street, Danville, VA during the time that services are being provided.
