Clinician
Position Number: 4024
Responsibilities: Provides face-to-face and telephone crisis intervention,
diagnostic evaluation, and assessment of need for treatment, pre-admission
screening for private and state psychiatric hospitalizations; provides
behavioral health consultations; referrals to DPCS programs or other community
based services; adheres to guidelines or regulations established by Virginia
Statute and the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance
Abuse Services (DMHMRSAS).
Requirements:
Masters’ degree in Human Services required,
with license preferred, (the degree should be acceptable by the
Virginia Department of Health Professions as a sufficient Masters’
degree to allow licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LSAP, or LMFT), or a
Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Virginia with 36 months
experience working in mental health; outpatient or inpatient
clinical mental health and/or substance abuse treatment experience
required; documented crisis intervention experience within the past
five years required. Current agency employees with a Bachelor’s
Degree and previously “grandfathered” by the Executive Director to
obtain their certification as preadmission screening evaluators are
exempt from the Master’s degree requirement. Fingerprints, State and
FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and CANIS report will be
required upon request.
ANNUAL SALARY
RANGE:
$34,137 - $51,206. Excellent fringe benefits.
