Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is comprised of
fifteen members -- eight appointed by the Pittsylvania County Board
of Supervisors and seven appointed by the Council of the City of
Danville, Virginia. In accordance with the Code of Virginia, a Board
Member is appointed to a three-year term and may serve three
successive three-year terms.

Jessie L. Barksdale
Mr. Barksdale is a member of the
Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors and was appointed to the Board
in 2010 to represent
the Banister District. He is retired from Federal Civil
Service. |

Dr. Julie J. Brown
The Pittsylvania County Board of
Supervisors appointed
Dr. Brown to the Board in 2011 as an at-large appointee.
Dr. Brown
is owner of Wright Path, LLC, and Project Manager
at Dan River
Region Collaborative. |

Dr. William H. Brown
Dr. Brown was appointed to the Board
by Danville City Council in 2005. He is a Psychologist with
Danville Public Schools. |

JoLane T. Dunlap
Ms. Dunlap is a Counselor at Danville
Community College. She was appointed by Danville City Council
in 2003. |

Dr. Roy N. Ford, Jr.
Dr. Ford was appointed to the Board
in 2004 by the
Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors and represents the Westover
District. He is a retired Senior Executive in the asphalt
paving industry. |

Anne T. Geyer
Danville City Council appointed Ms.
Geyer to the Board in 2008. She is retired, having served as Coordinator for Volunteer
Programs at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. |

Polly B. Humphrey
Ms. Humphrey is a Homemaker who was
appointed to the Board in 2005 by Danville City Council. |

Shelby J. Irving
Danville City Council appointed Ms. Irving to the
Board in 2012. She is the Battalion Chief of Investigations,
Public Education and Plan Reviews with the Danville Fire Department.

Gracie Mays
The Pittsylvania
County Board of Supervisors appointed Ms. Mays to the Board in 2012
as representative for the Tunstall District. She is the Customer
Service Representative with Chatmoss Cablevision.

Ronald E. Merricks
Mr. Merricks is Chief Financial
and Facilities Officer at Chatham Hall. He was appointed to the Board
in 2008 by the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors to represent
the Dan River District. |

Gerald Milliman
Mr. Milliman was appointed to the Board in 2012 by
the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors to represent the
Staunton River District. He is a retired Beekeeper.

Betty M. Pickral
Ms. Pickral is a retired Guidance Counselor
with Pittsylvania County Public Schools. She was appointed to the Board in
2004 by the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors to represent
the Callands-Gretna District. |

Jerry L. Testerman
Danville City Council appointed Mr.
Testerman to the Board in 2007. He is the owner of Wood Floor
Refinishing. |

Robert (Bob) W. Warren
The Pittsylvania
County Board of Supervisors appointed Mr. Warren to the Board in 2012 as
representative for the Chatham-Blairs District. He is President
of R. J. Baldwin Agency, Inc.

Mary Lee S. White
Ms. White was appointed to the Board by
Danville City Council in 2009. She is a retired Special Education
Teacher with Danville Public Schools. |

James F. Bebeau, LPC
Executive Director
Jim Bebeau, a Licensed Professional
Counselor (LPC), was appointed Executive Director in January 2010 by
the Board of Directors. He has extensive experience in behavioral
healthcare and has worked in various capacities at
Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services since 1994. Mr. Bebeau has
a strong commitment to the community, serving in various volunteer
capacities for the past 21 years. He is a Life Member of the
Danville Life Saving Crew and currently serves on its Board of
Directors as Vice President. Mr. Bebeau is a member of the Danville
Riverview Rotary Club and was the 2008/2009 Club President. He
serves on the Board of Directors of the Danville Science Center,
Smart Beginnings Danville-Pittsylvania, Sacred Heart School and the
Boards of Directors for the Community Policy & Management Teams in
both Danville & Pittsylvania County. Mr. Bebeau also serves on the
Finance Committee of the Virginia Association of Community Services
Boards. |
