Position Announcement

 

Early Intervention Case Manager

 

Position Number: 3344

 

Responsibilities: Provides assessment, linkage, and advocacy services to consumers under the age of three with cognitive and developmental delay or presence of a syndrome typically associated with intellectual disability, or consumers who have a serious emotional disturbance or are at risk of a serious emotional disturbance. Acts as primary facilitator in the coordination and integration of Early Intervention services for assigned caseload; develops and implements Individualized Family Service Plans; completes required documentation; and complies with all regulations applicable to program services.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, a Human Services related field, or any discipline or profession listed under Part C Personnel Standards; or a Registered Nurse with a valid license to practice in Virginia is required. Within two months of employment must complete and pass all training modules and apply for certification as an Early Intervention Service Coordinator through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Prefer that a Highest Standard be met for a discipline or profession as defined by Component IX – Personnel Standards in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Policies and Procedures for Part C of IDEA 2000. If Highest Standard is met, within two months of employment must complete and pass all training modules and apply for certification as an Early Intervention Professional through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Prefer experience in working with infants and toddlers, case management and writing/implementing multidisciplinary service plans. Requires excellent communication skills and experience in working pleasantly and cooperatively with a wide variety of people. Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request.

 

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $31,641 to $47,461. Excellent fringe benefits.
